Fresh Monarchs were found mainly roosted (singly) on the low leaves of small trees in and near the butterfly garden and the creek bed that runs through it. 10 sighted and 5 tagged. These are the first monarchs we have been able to tag since the 2010 tagging season!! The last two years we have not seen 1 monarch roost in a local tree so this is a VERY good feeling. Abdomens are small so we hope staging will bring us a bunch more.
