Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/09/2013

Number: 25

We've had four hummingbird feeders out all summer here at our summer place in Northern Michigan enjoying watching about 20-30 hummers flying around lapping up the nector (4:1 water & sugar, then 3:1 late August), and noticed they began "bulking up".

THEN, within 2 days time (Sept 7-9) GONE! Not one to be seen. Amazing that these incredible creatures all begin their migratory trek south at the same time.

Btw, found a fabulous bee & ant repellent. Place Avon skin-so-soft around the orfices of the feeder with a Q-tip. Totally eliminated bees & ants.
