Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/09/2013

Number: 15

Oh my !! We normally have 4-5 hummers about this time of year. We must be in a migration path. For the last few days the number seems to get more and more, the best we could count was about 15 or so. We have 3 hummer feeders and an oriole feeder. They are all continually filled with hummers feeding, in the trees, at the flowers, fighting or waiting their turn (but not for long)After the increase in numbers and a few days, some have gotten better about sharing the feeders. This morning there were 4 at one of the 4port feeders. What a joy to watch. I will miss them after all of these frantic displays. Sorry no pictures.. I just can't capture their speed. Besides last time I tried to attach a picture I attached an oriole to this hummer site :>(
