A female or juvenile Rubythroat fed at a plant and then perched for a few minutes on my clothesline. To my surprise, another hummingbird came along and hovered above her for several seconds, and then they flew off together to another yard--ignoring my feeder entirely. I am having doubts about the type of feeder and will likely replace it with a more familiar design.
