Four Monarchs were sighed in the yard the week before getting a drink from the wet lawn from watering the grass, a few were sighted on Hwy 277 South to San Angelo, and a few sighted on Hwy 277 North to Abilene. They were small butterflies not very large like we usually see. During the Spring migration, we did not observe any and now a few are coming through for the Fall. Hope to see more as we enter into September and October. Have not seen as many as we once have due to the drought and the city fogging for mosquitoes one year during their peak migration.
