Sadly, this is the first day since the hummingbirds' arrival at my feeders in May that there hasn't been a single bird sighted all day
. It is particularly telling because it is dusk, and normally for months now, they are at the feeder "tanking up" for the evening. I haven't even seen any of the birds I have identified for the last 10 days as migrants passing through. Perhaps the season of our little flying jewels is over, until the Spring. I will keep an eye out for travelers, though.
