Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/12/2013

Number: 1

Yesterday a small hummer fed hard at my feeder all day until dusk. I is still here today. The weather is warm, but a cold front is coming in tomorrow. It will be interesting to see whether it sticks around to gain weight, or starts its migration. It is so small I guess it is a juvenile. Seems impossible for such a small bird to to make a first migration of at least a thousand miles or more.
