A small female has still been at the feeder. Both the male and immature male we had this season appear to have gone. Such a thrill to still have the female. We'll miss her when she goes. On a sadder note, we found a small female who we think used to feed with us, dead on the ground outside. Not sure what happened, but her neck feathers were ruffled. So sad to see such a beautiful creature perish.
