Two came through the garden this afternoon. I had reported one earlier that stayed a short time to sip from my zinnias and coneflowers and headed South. I believe they are two more and not a returning Monarch, but who can be sure. The late afternoon sighting had two, they did not stay long either, and headed South.
I have some Praying Mantis that have found my Waystation delightful. They are hanging out on the Fennel and I have rescued several Eastern Black Swallotails. What is your suggestion on dealing with Praying Mantis. I hate to kill them off, but am disturbed by their presence.
