I've been seeing one female visiting my feeders all during August and September. Or if might have been more than one, but only one at a time. Sept 6 was the first time I've seen two and they were at odds over the feeders. I have two small tube feeders handing low just outside the front door and these are the two that are seeing the most activity. I like them because they hold a small amount of necter that gets used up rapidly and is easy to keep fresh. Over the past few days I've just seen one again.
BTW - the greatest activity has been in the early morning and just before dark.
