Female ruby-throated hummingbird first spotted it flying in my backyard and then saw it land on a telephone wire. I looked in my binoculars and saw that it was green on the wings and back, white on its belly, and green on its head. I looked her up in my bird book and looked in another bird field guide to double check that my finding was correct, checked with my mom and she confirmed it was in fact a ruby-throated hummingbird.
