On Monday, we went on a walk around the school (we are in a rural area surrounded by fields, farmland, and forests) and despite the abundance of milkweed and flowers, we did not see any monarchs. They may already be on their way but residents of our area have definitely noticed a lack of monarch sightings this summer.
