I observed a female ruby throated hummingbird checking out my empty feeders. I hadn't planned on refilling due to all the bees around them. But, after seeing the hummer, I decided to fill both feeders and glad I did. She has been back every day since, including today at 48 degrees. Today is Friday the 13th,
and while watching her perched on the shepherds hook, two more hummers zipped by. They didn't stop though.
