A South-west wind over the last few days ( September 10-12) resulted in a larger group of Monarchs in the prairie near lake Michigan. As soon as the wind started blowing from the North East, on the afternoon of the 12th, the majority left. We only spotted 1 monarch today (September 13). We miss seeing them, but wish them well on their journey.
