I saw one fly by today. I have only seen 3 Monarchs all summer and all in the last 3 weeks. Last summer I was seeing them regularly. It is very worrying. None have stopped to nectar while I was observing. I have a large abandoned field nearby with goldenrod, boneset and hardy ageratum. Last year the migrating Monarchs really flocked to the ageratum--but I have not seen any visiting the field yet. Hopefully, I will have better news soon.
