This morning as I was walking past my flower beds a hummingbird dive bombed the feeder and knocked himself out. Our dog was checking it out instantly so I picked it up and cradled it to keep it safe and warm. I actually thought more was wrong with him. However, I could feel he was alive cupped in my hands. Soon I opened my hand and after a moment flew off. I was surprised that it was a male since I haven't noticed any at my feeder. Wishing him a good trip south.
