Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/16/2013

Number: 12

We continue to see good numbers at our feeders throughout the day and into early evening. We still have one male! We estimate there are between 10 to 12 females that utilize our feeders on a regular basis. This is a net increase of 2 to 4 birds from two weeks ago so we suspect we are picking up birds that have traveled to our location from points north. Nearly all the birds appear rather robust, well fed and in good condition. There are one or two that need to increase their fats stores before heading south - in other regards, these birds too look healthy.
