Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/18/2013

Number: 4

Evening observation finds I still have at least 4 female hummers (3 adults and 1 juvenile) hanging tough. Three spend a long time perched and drinking from the feeders while one continues to find the Rose-of-Sharon blooms her favorite treat. Last hummer at the feeder departed at 7:54pm. Temperatures were in the mid 70's today and expected lows were going to be 58 degrees, an increase from 48 the night before. Going to be around the house for the next three days and will observe during the day time as temperatures are expected to rise to the 80's and night time lows hovering at 60 degrees. Fingers crossed, more sightings to report for a few more days before next cold front sweeps in.
