Tagged our first monarch of the year on September 13, a wild female nectaring on our tithonia. Saw 2 more on the 14th but they were skidish and I was unable to net them. We saw 4 at Sky meadodws Statae park near here also on the 14th -- but not close enough to net and tag. On the 18th one was flying S-SW threw the parking lot at Costco and and another at an intersection close to our home.
