Over the weekend the beginning of the week, we saw a flurry of Hummer activity at the feeders. The two females that have been frequenting the two feeders have been loading up more and more on nectar. They are spending up to 3-5 minutes drinking down their fuel. As of yesterday we only saw one female at the feeder and she was also spending a lot of time filling up. It looks like they are ready to leave us, marking the end of our season hosting them. We hate to see them go, but will look forward to next Spring. We are heading South for a week tomorrow but will have the feeders filled up. We hope to get a report from our children when we get back.
