Last week we had 30 or more hummers at our feeders - kept us busy keeping the feeders cleaned and filled - many of them were here all summer long but you could tell the few transients - very skiddish of us and the feeders. Today we have had only 4 feeding - this is the earliest our hummers have left in mass - last year it was in early October before the last hummer left. In SW Indiana.
