Monarch (OTHER Observations)
Sightings report image

Date: 09/20/2013

Number: 1

Got home from being out of town a few days to find some houseguests had arrived early. Adult MONARCHS!
Count so far, 3 males & 2 females, 1 didn't make it. These had to be 1-2 weeks older than the 2 caterpillars I caged last Sat. Those 2 are about a week away for arriving.
It's raining!! Hooray!!
But, for hungry, yearning to be free-naged Monarchs, Where DO Butterflies Go in the RAIN?
Think I'll make some sugar nectar 'til tomorrow...
Rethink! First day of FALL sounds like the PERFECT time for a butterfly release!! Until then, Gatorade+a little sugar made for 5 VERY CONTENTED
visitors! ... Until Sunday!!
Love fall!! Cooler weather on the way!!
Two more chrysalids to go for this bunch, hopefully more later in the migration!
