I noticed that the field below my house was mowed for hay on August 28th. I went down and picked up all the fallen milkweed and put it in a bucket of water. The following week after returning from vacation, I checked the almost dead milkweed, and found 3 small caterpillars clinging to a few remaining leaves. I put them in an aquarium with some fresh milkweed. they are now in Chrysalises, due to come out around around 9/25th. Amazingly, they appear to be healthy!!!
