Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/22/2013

Number: 50

Strange morning here. Between 6:50AM and 8:00AM there were about 50 hummers feeding along the south side of our house crowding all the feeders. It was similar last night (about 50 birds). Just shortly after 8:00AM they appeared to disappear except for about a half dozen. I suppose they had to get an early start to the days travel after heavy morning feeding. I'm really thinking that the hangers on were new guys (and gals)

In this image, the feeder was leaking from the seam along the bottom and I suspect the little bird found the sugar more concentrated there.
