Hummingbird Sighting

Female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird...
Today the last of my summer "regulars" left and headed south. Yesterday she fed almost non-stop on nectar and this morning at 7:20 a.m. she took one long last drink from her favorite feeder and flew off. That was the last time I saw her and I had figured yesterday that she was prepping to leave. I watch that particular feeder with a video camera all day long and it had no visitors after she left. I will now freshen up the feeder and move it to a more visible spot in the yard so that other migrating hummers can make a pit stop and "refuel" on their way south. I hope others are doing the same thing so that the birds will be able to find nectar as they make their long journey south.
