Spent about an hour wandering around Brookside Gardens, very carefully checking out all of the butterfly bushes and lantana beds we came across for monarchs. Alas, not a single one was to be found! Both of these plantings are usually irresistible to migrating monarchs, so I have to conclude none were in the immediate vicinity.
