1 female at the feeder this morning several times right after first light. Watched her fly off to go hunt, or maybe start south. Pretty sure at least 3 or 4 hummers at the feeders on Monday have left. Today matches last year's last sighting date for hummers in our yard (9/26). Put 2 females to bed last night at 7:17 p.m. Very interesting that they know the days shorten so they go to roost a minute or so earlier each evening. So another hummer season is drawing to a close. I would be very surprised to see any hummers at the feeders this evening.
