1 female at feeder 9/23/13 3PM, 1 female and 1 immature 9/25/13 late afternoon, 1 immature 9/26/13 9AM. Yellow jacket bees on the feeder when it is in direct sun intimidate the birds completely so that they do not land on the feeder. I have a bee bottle on the opposite hook, but bees crawl down into the bird feeder reservoir or hover around the ports and actually attack the birds. Any advice? There are lots of blooming coccinia Salvia around the feeder, but the birds are ignoring the flowers.
