34.9 degrees, no breeze --warm nectar served in the habitat at daybreak.
7:20 AM two girls perched in the tall branches (that are attached to the Shepard hook feeders for perching). They were enjoying the Black & Blue Salvia--before coming to the feeders. In 2012, September 26th was the last day we saw hummingbirds.
Our red flags are flying, the frost has not damaged our nectar plants, and I will continue to monitor and maintain the 16 feeders :) for the next 2 weeks--in case we have 'Tardy Birds' or unexpected, but very welcome guests.
