Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/26/2013

Number: 2

Two adult female travelers making a very brief stop at feeders beside the patio at 6pm. they didn't stay long just a quick sip of my 2:1 water/sugar mix and with having to contend with the honey bee's that I'm currently having issues with. Temperatures today was lower 70's with 5 day outlook to continue in the low to high 70's and night time temperatures in the 50's. Not a whole lot of hummer attracting flowers left here other than our Rose-of-Sharon blooms, however there is a slight resurgence of insects due to warmer daytime and nighttime temperatures and no rain. Hopes are my diversion tactics of supplying the bees their own easy to retrieve sugar water supply 200 feet away will keep them at bay from the often moved feeders. Fly fast and safe little darlings, glad I had an offering available for you!
