Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/27/2013

Number: 6

The number of hummers at our feeders is sporadic from day to day! The ones that are present, from 2 to 6 birds per day,are all females and are stragglere because they are so skittish around us while we work in the garden or relaxing on the deck and our summer visitors are very calm around us often buzzing close to us. They are frequenting are Morning Glories very hard during the day. More are feeding off the Morning Glories than at the feeders but each feeder has a guard that chase away all the other birds. We have gone a few days without seeing one bird and the next day will have 6 stragglers really feeding heavily and staying for 2-3 days and gone the next day. From SW Indiana.
