Sightings report image

Number: 3

We have 3 guys still loving the nectar. The 2 juveniles are finally putting on some weight. They are very active and I think I spoiled them. The temperature over night is dropping down in the 50's so in the mornings I give them warm nectar each morning. Warm I mean my house temperature about 70 deg. I just keep a jug of pre mixed nectar in the house and change it in the mornings. I recycle what I dumped out from the previous day which I can get away with for a few days. Before I refill the feeders I rinse them out with hot water because the feeders are cold. This helps keep the nectar from getting imediately cold. They love the warm nectar and perch on my hanging flower planters in the mornings.
