My hummingbirds have vacated BOTH locations (Madison and the Lake Poygan region, near Fremont), departing about TWO WEEKS ago. I do miss them, along with the Martins, Orioles,Grosbeaks, Tree Swallows,Bobolinks, Meadowlarks, Swifts and Catbirds, along with the (Chipping, Vesper, Song, and Savannah) Sparrows that were highly valued seasonal visitors! The lands in Wisconsin again seem empty and barren without their songs/calls.
