At Lenkerville Elementary School in Millersburg, PA, we tagged and released 22 Monarch butterflies that were raised from wild, collected eggs by Alan Corson, then divided up among the 1st & 2nd grade classrooms for the students to care for and watch develop from caterpillar to chrysalis. The entire school came out to watch them fly away to begin migration. The local newspaper is doing a feature on the release.
