Today we have had at least 15, and perhaps 20, Ruby Hummingbirds in the back yard on the flowers and feeders. For the last two weeks we have also had a Rufus, but I did not see him today. This is about the level of activity we have had for the last two weeks.

Attached is a photo taken in our back yard by our friend Caleb Sims of two Hummers fighting over the feeder. I use organic unrefined sugar to make the nectar, so it has a dark color. I think its sweeter than refined sugar and the birds seem to like it better.
