Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/29/2013

Number: 50

Still having about 50 hungry hummers busy at the feeders. It's been raining hard for about 24 hour and I'm not sure if the small beauties here are just not moving out or if they are new ones slipping in. Watching them feed in the rain is comical since some are well marked from rain drop hits and little toots on the head from battles with others. Sometimes they all sit calmly together on a feeder and eat. Other times war breaks out. The image shows both.
