My garden is filled with flowers following recent rains and the hummingbirds are very busy this week flitting from flower to flower. I have noticed that they are making less frequent visits to my two feeders preferring to feed from the flowers. There has also been a decrease in the amount of time they are spending fighting and chasing, now that they have so many flowers to feed from. My feeders are still in use, but I am not seeing any individual attempting to defend the feeder this week.
