We observed about 15-20 monarchs each evening at a roost spot near Princeton, Kansas on Sept. 25 and 26.

It rained most of the morning today (9/28), but by late afternoon the monarchs were on the move from Ottawa, Kansas through Richmond, Kansas. I observed a cluster of about 15 this evening with approximately 40 more milling around. They were much too high for tagging.
