Spotted my first Monarch of the year!
We've been having a wonderful stretch, perhaps 10 days or more, of "Indian Summer" weather with cool nights into the 40's F and warm days into the 60's F (approaching 70F) with clear skies.
I was just amazed to spot this lone Monarch working its way across a field! I had pretty much resigned myself to thinking this was going to be a year without Monarchs for me!
