Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 10/01/2013

Number: 3

I know what the experts say, but I do not know why they say it. I know they will think I am wrong, and I know that people reporting events often see what they want to see. However, I choose to believe my own eyes. Sunday two fat hummingbirds had a royal battle at the livingroom feeder. I could hear wings hitting each other. While they were fighting a small hummer came into the feeder to eat. He was still here this morning. It is possible he saw an event and took advantage, but I believe it was his mom or big sis who was fighting to gain him territory. This is the second time I have witnessed this very event in the last few weeks. Weather is warm so maybe he can stick around for a few days to fatten up.
