One adult female and 1 juvenile male Ruby Throat identified feeding at feeders. Did not get a good look at 3rd hummer. Young male does not seem very perky. I have observed him sitting on near by branch with feathers puffed out for long periods of time. Stays fluffed up even when feeding. Came in from work today (10-1-13) and found him fluffed up and just sitting on feeder perch. At first I thought he was in torpor. I walked right up to him and almost was able to catch him before he flew away. Even as he was flying away to a nearby tree, he did not seem to be flying as fast as most hummers. I am concerned for the little fellow and I'm keeping feeders filled with fresh sugar water. I have lots of flowers for hummingbirds blooming, too. I am not sure how far he has traveled. I am hoping that he is just resting before continuing on his way.
