Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/01/2013

Number: 6

Saw six adults each separately and at different locations on our property. Time observed is misleading because these were incidental as I was clearing brush and invasive plants. In each case Monarch flushed from where it was sheltering under large live oak, as I parked my truck in the shade. Two appeared to resettle elsewhere in the trees. Others climbed to 20 feet or so, and flew off riding wind. Temp 80's, humid, brisk east wind.
