This was the last sighting of 1 female hummingbird. I kept the feeder out for another week with no further sightings so she most likely left either the afternoon of the 26th or first thing on the 27th. As I recall it was a good day to migrate ... NW winds and warm. Up until Sept 18th there were as many as 3 females but I think the others left around the 18th. The remaining female looked small and she remained for an additional 9 days (approximately). I wonder if it was and inexperienced youngster? Safe journey little one, hope to see you next year!

In 2012 my last sighting was on Sept 14. so this female stayed a good deal longer.
