My husband came home yesterday afternoon and found a hummingbird on the ground outside of our door. He thought it was dead and picked it up. When he picked it up it started buzzing, but couldn't move. He placed in in the garden, in a sheltered spot. When he came back to check it was gone. We believe it came for our zinnias and accidentally flew into the slider door, stunning itself. He did not observe if it was male or female.
