I haven't seen any hummers since Sept. 25 but it didn't surprise me to see this straggler at 7:14 this morning. I live just north of Wichita and there is a cold front moving across the state which will shift the winds to the north and drop temps 30 degrees. This morning's temp was 70. It sat and ate for about 30 seconds and then flew off to the southwest . There was not enough light yet to see very well so I don't know it it was a male or female. The water to sugar ratio in my feeder is now 2 to 1 instead of 4 to 1.
