About 400 fall migrant monarchs were clustered in a small clump of eucalyptus and cypress trees located behind a residential backyard along D Street in the coastal town of Cayucos, California on October 2, 2013. I just happened to be there on Oct 2. The first roosting probably occurs
sometime between Sept. 20-25.
