My Tuesday science class of twenty second graders all planted tulip bulbs today with help from two parents and I.
It was a dramatic day as we had a fire drill just after I demonstrated how to plant a bulb for me and one for an absent student. When we returned to plant the rest, we had to work quickly. A mouse appeared for the second day in a row right next to the garden. It entertained the children while the parents and I helped those who still needed to plant their bulb.
