A couple of people have seen monarchs recently and asked that I relay them to you at Journey North, so here they are. Citizen Science at work...

September 20. My daughter Megan from Tait Street Public School, in Mrs.Mcgill's grade 5/6 class spotted a monarch butterfly today at 3:52 getting off the school bus on Byton lane in Cambridge. (Mrs. B. in Cambridge)

October 2. My kids reported seeing one Monarch on school property  Monday, Sept 30 and Tuesday, Oct 1, and another student saw one in Toronto on Sunday. (Mrs. Brake, teacher at Hillcrest P.S., Cambridge)

October 3. Two of my students saw a monarch yesterday around 5pm by the Huron Natural Area. (Mrs. Mcfayden, teacher at Jean Steckle P.S., Kitchener)
