To my delight and happy heart, I saw 3 or 4 monarchs in the garden flowers of Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH in late afternoon on the butterfly bushes and cornflowers. Definitely 1 fresh beautiful female, one raggedy male, and one pretty good male, 4th I am not sure about, they were flying about quickly and hungrily stopping at the flowers. They are the first monarchs I saw all year in NH. I felt so lucky to finally see them! Hope is eternal and I hope they come back in great numbers next year.
