Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/05/2013

Number: 2

10am spotted one male and one female. Both on a salvia plant under a white natchez crape myrtle. One definitely seemed to be warming up and had shaky flight and would land again. Assuming a new adult emerged. Morning warmed up to over 80 quickly today, 1pm it is 97 degrees. None of the easily sighted chrysalis I've been keeping an eye on were matched to these two. As I completed chores in and out of the house, I have to assume these are the same two sighted this morning. Feeding on zinnias, milkweed, other open flowers. Often returning to the crape myrtle that no longer has blooms. Will try to see if they are in the tree this evening.
